'Mugabe never liked Joice Mujuru'?????

I was so surprised when I saw that headline because all along I thought Mugabe and Mujuru were good buddies when they were working together. I knew that of late, since the eviction of Mujuru from the party, they are enemies but I never thought of that they could have been enemies even when thaey were working together. The story below is from Bulawayo24News.

'Mugabe never liked Joice Mujuru'

Mugabe and Mujkuru during happy days
In the latest twist to Zanu-PF's ugly infighting, a source claims that former VP Joice Mujuru had been sidelined for "a whole decade" while she was President Robert Mugabe's number two.

The insider, who claims to know intimate details of Mugabe and Mujuru's relationship over the past decade, said this had been the reason why the former VP had not been accorded benefits by the nonagenarian such as new vehicles, a government house or farm- as had been the case with other VPs.

The insider said it was clear that Mujuru and her late husband Solomon had been targeted by Mugabe and "his henchmen" from day one - who allegedly wanted to "freeze them out of politics" and ensure that the nonagenarian handpicked his successor and not have that person elected.

Since her expulsion from the ruling party Mujuru has been on the papers largely for wrong reasons. Below is another story fro Bulawayo24.

Mujuru's group to field candidates against Mugabe's Zanu-PF in by-elections

A top aide of former vice president Joice Mujuru has revealed that their group will field candidates against President Robert Mugabe's Zanu-PF in the June 10 parliamentary by-elections, News24 reported.

Zimbabwe will go for 15 parliamentary by-elections that have been dubbed "mini-general elections" following the expulsion of 21 members of parliament (MPs) of the opposition MDC-T who crossed the floor from MDC-T and formed their own MDC Renewal team.

The MDC-T which is led by former prime minister Morgan Tsvangirai has indicated that it will not participate in these by-elections, protesting over unlevel playing field which it says favours the ruling Zanu-PF.

However,  addressing  journalists  in Harare on Wednesday afternoon, expelled Zanu-PF Mashonaland West chairperson, Themba  Mliswa, who is  a close ally of  Mujuru said his group which now goes under  the names "Original Zanu-PF or People First"  will  field  candidates in by-elections.

"We are going field candidates in these by-elections. We are going to have candidates in every constituency. We will give Zanu-PF a  run for their  money," said Mliswa  who was  also  fired from Zanu-PF and parliament for backing Mujuru.

"MDC used to control these constituencies and we are talking to them, so that we get much support and defeat Zanu-PF," Mliswa added.

Mliswa who is also battling to recapture his Hurungwe West parliamentary seat was also arrested over the weekend on allegations of disrupting a Zanu-PF meeting in his former constituency. He was released due to lack of evidence.

Zimbabweans and other foreigners suffer xenophobic attacks in South Africa

King Zwelithini made a very big mistake that would bring negative change to both South Africans and foreigners. Since his statement about foreigners leaving South Africa peace has not prevailed in some parts of the world class African country. Africans are slaying each other and the King is carrying on with his life worry-less about the xenophobia he literally started. The story below is from Bulawayo24News

Zapu denounces xenophobic attacks in SA

A man burnt by South African attackers
ZAPU has expressed grave concern on the on-going xenophobic  attacks in South Africa's saying they coincided with President Mugabe's state visit  when "his children were murdering Mugabe's children on the implicit instructions of Zwelithini."

The party said Mugabe was scared to denounce the attacks as he was "begging for cash".

Below is the full statement released on Wednesday:

ZAPU is concerned and alarmed at the xenophobic attacks on foreigners and particularly Zimbabweans in the supposedly rainbow nation of South Africa. it is even more worrying that these killings took place during a state visit by the Zimbabwean President to South Africa. Even while Zuma wined, dined and danced the night away with Mugabe his children were murdering mugabe's children on the implicit instructions of Zwelithini who obviously felt he had to justify his billion rand squandering of the taxpayers money by weighing in with misguided and ill informed comments. Besides marrying wives younger than his own children what else does that monarch know? Certainly not economics and its dynamics. And certainly not international relations if his comments are anything to go by.

Mugabe, mindful of the fare on Zuma's table and the begging bowl that is the only constant in his globe-trotting luggage, kept quiet about the murders of his citizens. He instead embarassed his host by insulting a white journalist whose only crime was to be present when a question was posed to Mugabe during a tour of the Pietersen Museum.

It was an insult to the memory of that young man and hundreds of thousands of other youths who have given their lives in Africa for the establishment of a non-racist society. He is so obsessed with his racist agenda that he chose to see a white face instead of the blood of black people on the streets. As a party that has its roots in people power ZAPU is therefore calling on all Zimbabweans to boycott the scheduled shows of South African artists this weekend. We find it disgusting that these artsists will want us to dance to their music on our lamented independence day. What bad taste. Dance while their brothers are murdering our brothers!!!! We say no to this insensivity.

LET US BOYCOTT THIS SHOW AND ALL SHOWS UNTIL SOUTH AFRICA REALISES THAT WE CONTRIBUTE TO THEIR GDP AS EQUAL PARTNERS AND NOT AS POOR COUSINS.

This xenophobia is really bad and evil, let'spray for it to stop before we lose thousands of people.

scares of xenophobia in South Africa

About two weeks ago I posted a story about the Zulu King Zwelithini, where he was saying  "foreigners must go home" and I stated that his words were likely to cause violence, and it seems it has already.

[take the commons media] [Abahlali] Africa United Against Xenophobia - March in Durban on 8 April 2015
On Wednesday 08 April 2015, Congolese Solidarity Campaign “CSC” together with Somali Association of South Africa “SASA” and other foreign nationals supported by Abahlali baseMjondolo Movement SA will be having an Anti-Xenophobia March to demand an end to the current wave of xenophobic violence against foreign nationals.

We are united in our common outrage at the brutal acts of the current wave of xenophobic violence against foreign nationals unleashed over the last few weeks and which shows no end insight, it is important to remember that these horrific acts that have spurred us into action are the result of many years in which xenophobic attitudes, practices, and beliefs have been allowed to exist and proliferate amongst all of us.

Those who have openly attacked others have claimed that South Africans are being denied access to scarce jobs, basic services, and better lives because of the need to compete with people from other African countries for these limited resources.

It is a high time for all of us; both foreign nationals and South Africans to join forces to eradicate the anti-foreign perception, coupled with unfair treatment that conspire against the ideal of Pan-Africanism heralded by government.

The ideal of Uniting Africa from Cape to Cairo can only be achieved if Africans are united against the forces of capitalism that are dividing us. Kindly honour us with your esteemed presence so that we can work together to diffusion the xenophobic tension and isolate those who are perpetrating the negative attitude and beliefs towards foreign nationals.

The march will be held in Durban Central from King DINU ZULU PARK (Opposite Durban Christian Centre) to CITY HALL (Workshop) on 8 April from 9 am to 12 pm.

I understand this movement attracted police officers and the foreign protestors fought with them, a lot of South Africans and other foreigners have termed this movement an 'unlawful protests'. I am told some locals attacked the protestors and I'm sure there was blood. This  xenophobia issue is likely to lead Africans into wars....I'm so scared and worried!!!

This video I posted is very scary and it made me all emotional.....the message accompanying it on whatsapp said 'Zimbabweans burnt alive in Durban South Africa yesterday,,just for being a foreigner'......I received it today on whatsapp and it gave me a fright. I don't know if it's true but from what I saw those kids are being set alight.

The politics among contemporary prophets

Nowadays there are a lot of prophets in Zimbabwe and in the whole world in general. These prophets have churches and amass of followers who keep them going. I got to know the anointing oil from the Nigerian prophet T. B. Joshua's channel, and today in Zimbabwe almost all renowned prophets have anointing oil which has their picture on it just like Joshua's. Well I'm just saying what I know and Im not implying anything. Recently Chiza was at the ZITF launching his anointing oil, the full story is below:

Prophet Chiza joins anointing oil bandwagon

Prophet Chiza
BULAWAYO "prophet" Blessing Chiza is expected to dish out "holy anointing oil" at a mega Sunday service to be held at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) grounds in a fortnight where he says people's lives will be changed.

The Faith in God (FIG) Ministries International, Eagle Life Assembly leader announced the coming of the anointing oil this week in advertisements that urged people to join the prayer line by registering and attending the church service that would be held on March 29, at the ZITF's Hall No 1.

Prophet Chiza has held similar prayers and thousands of people have turned out for his all night prayers and church services. He has previously claimed that his anointing oil has the power to heal the sick and sets people free from all lands of evil spirits."

The anointing oil unlocks all the doors to opportunities in one's life. It will lubricate your lives and things will start moving smoothly. It has power to heal sickness, people with pregnancy problems will be well. Businesses will rise, lives will change and there shall be testimonies.

It protects people from accidents and also frees them from debt," said Chiza. Two weeks ago Harare- based Prophetic Healing and Deliverance (PHD) prophet Walter Magaya descended on Bulawayo and many people scrambled to get their hands on his anointing oil.

Today the Bulawayo city hall was flooded with women who had come for Magaya's women only all-night prayer. The all-night prayer is specially for marriage issues, and I wonder why he chose women and not men or both to attend this as marriage is about one person (well that's none of my business). One would think in both these services admission is free but it definitely isn't, Magaya's city hall service was $20 for admission, $1o for the anointing oil, and $5 for the Magaya bracelets. I believe that the word of God should be shared with everyone for free and the healing should not be paid for in the holy house of God. The same all-night marriage prayer meeting was held in Harare two days ago, below is the story:

Thousands attend Prophet Magaya's all-night prayer

Prophet Magaya
Thousands of women from all walks of life, including some from regional countries on Friday

More than 80 000 people attended the all-night prayer meeting where the PHD founder Prophet Walter Magaya emphasized the need for marriage protection and guidance prayers to counter divorces which are on the increase.

The all-night prayer was screened on ZBC-TV, South Africa's etv, One Gospel and other regional channels.

The theme centred on the spirituality and sanctity of marriage in accordance with the Bible.
thronged the Prophetic Healing and Deliverance Ministries (PHD) ladies all-night marriage prayer meeting in Waterfalls, Harare.

I think these prophets are each in a quest to be the best of them all and they also are making money using the word of God. The word of God is for everyone and it has been made available to all thus whether some use it for getting money or establishing fame for themselves it does not matter. However I think its wrong for the prophets to be taking peoples money and at the same time I'm blaming the audience that throngs these meetings which leave some penniless. Anyway who am I to judge the politics of prophets and their churches?? They are God's children and he will judge. I cant waitto get feedback on Magaya's city hall meeting.

Way to go brother Stanley!!!!

A part four NUST student has published an anthology of love poems and many other themes and I am very happy for my fellow colleague, Stanley Mushava. Let us all support him in any way we can and help him achieve this good thing he has started.

Mushava Publishes 'In Memory of the Future'

Stanley Mushava
Literary critic Stanley Mushava has published his debut poetry anthology titled "In Memory of the Future".

The book which was released last Sunday was published by Mushava's Pro-Faith Press.
In an interview with the Herald Entertainment, Mushava said the book focuses on spreading love, humanity and waging peace to all nations.

"In Memory of the Future is a loud and clear call for our generation to place eternal considerations in the balance and the book is overtly Christian because I believe it's time for bold writing and clear speaking," he said.

He also added that he does not believe in fiction writing but real life literature.
"I write about real life as I see it and whether I write about love, meaning, suffering or international affairs I mean what I write. Double speaking is not a luxury I can afford because I am not writing out of vanity but I have a definite message by which readers can make meaning of their lives and have something to think about," he said.

He also said that it is disheartening that some writers write what they believe in and not putting other people's beliefs into consideration.

"If you are to reach across culture with a message, a creative package not dry indoctrination must be the vehicle and that is what I did in my book," he said.

The book is currently available on Mazwi Books as an ebook.

Mushava who is a student at the National University of Science and Technology is currently working on his second book "The End of Creativity" to be released before the end of this year.

Heheehee I thought the tittle "In Memory of The Future" was weird but this one for the second book is more weirder "The End of Creativity". How is it possible for the future to have a memory? and how is it possible for creativity to end? Im sure a lot of people have the same questions as me!!! The only way we will find out whats behind these extremely creative tittles is by reading his work which I will definitely do. Below is a story that shows one of Mushava's intelligent observation and analysis:

Stanley Mushava: Did NoViolet Bulawayo’s We Need New Names Receive Acclaim Because it Concurs with the West’s View of Africa?

In an article for the Zimbabwean Herald, Stanely Mushava has questioned why NoViolet Bulawayo’s We Need New Names, which was shortlisted for the 2013 Man Booker Prize, has received so much attention from Western cultural institutions and media.

He mentions Charles Mungoshi’s Branching Streams Flow in the Dark and Spiwe Harper’s Footprints in the Mists of Time that have not received much coverage outside of Zimbabwe. He wonders, “Is greater emphasis being placed on merit or rather on works that align with the West’s stereotypes on Africa in general and Zimbabwe in particular?”

Mushava goes on to quote from We Need New Names, where Zimbabwe and America are contrasted, and from reviews of the book that have appeared in American and British newspapers, which he says are “more politically themed than artistically contrived”.

Mashava’s concerns echoes those of critics of this year’s Caine Prize for African Writing. Chika Oduah was one of these who commented on “clichéd portrayals of Africa” in stories submitted for the prize and speculated that “in the desire to win the Caine Prize, African writers are being influenced by stories that have won in the past”.
“WE NEED NEW NAMES”, NoViolet Bulawayo’s debut novel, which was recently shortlisted for the Man Booker Prize, excited more international acclaim than any Zimbabwean book in the recent past. Zimbabwe’s literary arena had some rich pickings recently including the overdue comeback of Charles Mungoshi with “Branching Streams Flow in the Dark”, Spiwe Harper’s “Footprints in the Mists of Time” and the most improved Zimbabwe International Book Fair in recent years. All these went virtually unnoticed by the international media except “We Need New Names” which was not only nominated for the Man Booker but also revelled in glowing reviews in British and American newspapers, notably The Guardian and New York Times.
Only and only an intelligent mind can observe that and criticise it the way Mushava did. I hope this is an insight on how Mushava is and what he has for Zimbabwe.

Is King Zwelithini's dream achievable???

King Zwelithini has a called for all foreigners to return to their countries and this is likely to cause violence. Below is a story from The Citizen:

Foreigners must go home – King Zwelithini

Zulu King Goodwill Zwelithini
Zulu King Goodwill Zwelithini has called for the deportation of foreign nationals living in the country, saying it was unacceptable locals were being made to compete with people from other countries for the few economic opportunities available.

Addressing Pongolo community members during a moral regeneration event on Friday, Zwelithini accused government of failing to protect locals from the “influx of foreign nationals”.  “Most government leaders do not want to speak out on this  matter because they are scared  of losing votes.  “As the king of the Zulu nation, I cannot tolerate a situation where we are being led by leaders with no views whatsoever.

“We are requesting those who come from outside to please go back to their countries,” Zwelithini said. “The fact that there were countries that played a role in the country’s struggle for liberation should not be used as an excuse to create a situation where foreigners are allowed to inconvenience locals. “I know you were in their countries during the struggle for liberation. But the fact of the matter is you did not set up businesses in their countries,” he said.

Zwelithini, who spoke from a prepared speech, which is in The Citizen‘s possession, made the remarks in the presence of Police Minister Nathi Nhleko and KZN community MEC Willies Mchunu. The king’s remarks are made against the backdrop of rising tensions between foreign nationals and locals in the wake of recent xenophobic attacks in the country. The violence began in Soweto, Gauteng, in January and later spread to KwaZulu-Natal, where it has claimed three lives so far.

The DA yesterday described Zwelithini’s comments as “highly irresponsible”. “Particularly given the recent spate of xenophobic attacks in South Africa, he should do the right thing – retract and apologise,” DA national spokesperson Phumzile van Damme said. The South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC) said it was looking into the matter. “His utterances, if proven true, would border on xenophobic,” SAHRC spokesperson Isaac Mangena said.

The king’s spokesperson Judge Jerome Ngwenya declined to comment. – cliven@citizen.co.za

The king has started something that is likely to turn very nasty and has the potential of changing other African nations' relations with South Africa.

Let us pray for the Maleme villagers to win the land wrangle case.

The Maleme issue is not about Cunningham or Mashingaidze but it is about the villagers' welfare. All I want is for the results to be in favour of the villagers, this means that Cunningham should win this case as it seems he is taking good care of the Maleme people.

Mashingaidze grilled

Auxilia Katongomara Chronicle Reporter

TWELVE Matobo District villagers, who were arrested for allegedly kidnapping a farm worker employed by district intelligence officer Rodney Mashingaidze, have applied for discharge at the close of the State’s case. The villagers, through their lawyer, Tanaka Muganyi, argued that the State had failed to prove its case as witnesses gave conflicting statements.
Mashingaidze, 40, was recently evicted from Maleme Farm in the district following protests by villagers who did not want him to displace Peter Cunningham, a white commercial farmer.
The 12 elderly men; Philimon Moyo, 72, Killion Masuku, 63, Cornelius Ncube, 63, Partson Ncube, 46, Robert Nyathi, 61, Wilson Nyathi, 45, Patrick Dube, 65, Kenisi Sibanda, 65, Michael Nyathi, 62, Sanni Dube, 63, Job Kaunda, 54 and Gabriel Moyo, 53, all from Shumba Shaba Village in Matobo area under Chief Masuku, pleaded not guilty to kidnap charges.
They are accused of being part of a mob of 40 allegedly armed with axes which allegedly kidnapped Cephas Ndlovu, 56, on March 9.
They allegedly force-marched him for about nine kilometres before he was allegedly rescued by Mashingaidze.
Ndlovu’s testimony contradicted statements by Mashingaidze and the investigating officer, Bakhekha Bakhulu.
In his evidence-in-chief, Ndlovu said he did not call his employer to tell him his life was in danger as there is no network at the farm.
“Your worship, I saw these people as they came close to the farm house which I was guarding. They cut the wire that held the main gate. They began looking for me in the house and I surrendered myself to them, fearing for my life,” said Ndlovu.
He said they inquired about where he came from, told him to pack all his belongings and force-marched him for about nine kilometres before he met his employer.
He did not mention that the 12 villagers were armed with axes and knobkerries.
“Your worship, there were more than 40 people in the crowd but I can only identify three who are here. I don’t know the rest,” said Ndlovu.
In his testimony, Mashingaidze said Ndlovu called him earlier in the morning, notifying him that there was a crowd at the farm’s Chapel which prompted him to notify the Officer-in-Charge of Kezi Police Station.
Muganyi asked Mashingaidze why Ndlovu said he did not call him.
In reply Mashingaidze said: “I cannot say, maybe he forgot”.
The lawyer asked him why Ndlovu had not told the court that his alleged kidnappers were armed, to which he responded: “I can’t say but I think it is out of fear or he forgot.”
Mashingaidze told the court he immediately recognised his employee when he saw the group leading him to an unknown destination.
Ndlovu had told the court that he waved to attract Mashingaidze’s attention.
“How forgetful is your employee? Does he forget everything that you tell him?” asked Muganyi.
Mashingaidze declined to respond.
The district intelligence officer said he recognised two men out of the group, Killion Masuku and Cornelius Ncube whom he had met before.
“I know Masuku because he had been interfering with our stay at the farm and I’m so bitter about that,” he said.
The investigating officer said he arrested the 12 men at the instigation of Ndlovu who had earlier said he only recognised three.
“We arrested all the people who were in white T-shirts inscribed “Singabantu-Sihlonipheni Esigabeni Sethu” and they had no weapons except a few with walking sticks,” said the officer.
The state closed its case with the defence applying for discharge.
Magistrate Ntonga is expected to make a ruling on April 2.
Lets wait for the 2 April ruling.
